Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears and a BIG surprise!

I've shared my love for chocolate covered gummy bears from Sweet Inspirations aka Nantucket Chocolatier. If you know me well, you know that this no exaggeration...I have a huge sweet tooth and a really hard time passing up anything involving chocolate. Earlier this month, I got a great surprise in a bag of chocolate covered gummy bears! Here's the note that I shared with the crew at Sweet Inspirations:


My fiance, Brinker, and I have enjoyed chocolate covered gummy bears for quite some time. Brinker grew up eating them & he introduced them to me on our first trip to Nantucket together. It's safe to say that I have been hooked ever since! We usually need a fix every few months, so I started ordering them for Valentine's Day and he started picking up a few bags each time he visited Nantucket. In late March, Brinker surprised me with a bag of gummy bears and a box of Coco the Whales. Little did I know that there was a 2nd bag of gummy bears, which would appear at a later date.

While we were on vacation, Brinker surprised me with the 2nd bag of gummy bears.I was so excited to see them, so I held out both hands so he could pour some out of the bag.  He poured quite a few into my hands and soon they were spilling into my lap. I was perplexed as to why he kept pouring...because I'm usually the one that makes rules about rationing the gummy bears so they last as long as possible. The next thing I knew he was down on one knee and I thought maybe he was picking up the precious gummy bears that had fallen on the ground. however, a ring had fallen out of the bag, through my hands and into my lap...along with the pile of gummies.I was so shocked that a ring would come out of there that it took me a while to realize that he was proposing! And of course, once I said yes, I quickly got to work putting the uneaten gummy bears back into the bag.

I can't wait to visit the store this summer and look forward to many, many more bags of chocolate covered gummy bears!!!
